La Barca is a musical and theatrical production company based in Vic, founded in 2022.

It was established to undertake, alongside La Drecera Produccions, the production of the tour for the opera Ferides by Jofre Bardolet, a work that pays musical tribute to Mozart and is set during the Spanish Civil War. After its premiere in 2021 at L’Atlàntida in Vic, the show reached major venues such as the Casino-Aliança del Poblenou, the Kursaal in Manresa, and the Teatre Fortuny in Reus, among others, enjoying a warm reception from both audiences and critics.

In 2024, La Barca presented a version of the musical Cop de Rock, originally premiered by Dagoll Dagom in 2011, at L’Atlàntida in Vic. This show revives the glory years of Catalan rock, featuring songs by Sopa de Cabra, Els Pets, and Sau, among others. Its success was so significant that six performances were scheduled throughout the season, a feat previously achieved at L’Atlàntida only by El Mago Pop. The production was directed by Pere Puig.

In the summer of the following year, the company premiered its new production: the operetta Festeig i giravolt by Jofre Bardolet, under the stage direction of Laura Domènech. The work, based on real events and correspondence, is a portrait of Eduard Toldrà’s life and his professional context prior to the Civil War. Other prominent figures of the era appear, such as Conxita Badia, Pau Casals, and Juli Garreta, the latter portrayed by Arnau Tordera. Festeig i giravolt began a nationwide tour in the autumn of 2025 that is still ongoing. The show has been performed at the Petit Palau de la Música, where it will return in 2026.

La Barca also produces concerts for the Camerata de Música Catalana, an ensemble committed to the recovery and promotion of works by Catalan composers, both from past centuries and contemporary ones like Albert Guinovart or Salvador Brotons. Among their recent concerts, a highlight was the performance at the Cervera Easter Festival in April 2025, featuring a collaboration with the versatile pianist Carles Marigó.
